Shramik Annapurna Yojana Gujarat

Shramik Annapurna Yojana : Construction workers living in different districts in the state come to work in big cities due to lack of business and occupation in their district. Due to poor economic conditions and lack of time, they do not get nutritious food. Construction Labor Welfare Board Gujarat started Shramik Annapurna Yojana under Shramik Annapurna Yojana to provide nutritious meals to laborers and their families for just Rs 5/-.

Under Shramik Annapurna Yojana, a nutritious meal will be provided to the worker and his family for just Rs 5/-. So that they can stay healthy Shramik Annapurna Yojana was started by Construction Labor Welfare Board Gujarat.

Meals provided in Annapurna Yojana

Under Shramik Annapurna Yojana, a nutritious meal consisting of roti, vegetables, pulses, rice, pickles, chillies and jaggery will be provided to the laborer and his family for just Rs 5/-. In addition, sweets such as sukhdi once a week are also included.

Implementation of the Plan

This scheme has been implemented on pilot basis from 14/6/2017. In the year 2022-23, the amount of labor contribution has been reduced from Rs.10/- to Rs.5/- under Shramik Annapurna Yojana by the Hon'ble Chief Minister.

How to get food for Annapurna Yojana?

The benefits of this scheme are given to the workers registered in the e-Nirman portal by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Labor Welfare Board.

To avail Shramik Annapurna Yojana, the construction worker has to take his e-nirman card and go to Shramik Annapurna Yojana food distribution center. The e-nimana number or QR code mentioned in the card. By scanning the code, the food distribution center will give the worker Rs. A token is given for 5/-. There the worker is given food in his own tiffin or for lunch. A construction worker is entitled to one meal for his entire family through an e-Nirmaan card.

For the beneficiaries who do not have e-Nirmaan card, construction workers are temporarily registered at the booth and can get food for 15 days. With the issuance of e-Nirman card, the employee can get food on the basis of the card.

Under Shramik Annapurna Yojana, a total of 114 food distribution centers have been operationalized in Ahmedabad-47, Gandhinagar-4, Vadodara-12, Surat-18, Navsari-3, Valsad-6, Rajkot-9, Mehsana-7 and Patan-8.
