The scheme will provide free umbrellas to hawkers with lorries with the roadside sale of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and perishable agricultural products of the state. • In this scheme, one adult per beneficiary (i.e. one umbrella per Aadhaar card) will be eligible for an umbrella.

Benefit:
- Fruit-vegetable-kulak kept in lorries will be protected from spoilage
- Small traders selling fruits, flowers, vegetables, and perishable agricultural products in the open space on the roadside will be protected from heat, cold, and rain.
- Approximately 50,000 retailers will benefit
Required documents:
- Copy of Aadhaar card
For rural area: - Example of the retailer selling fruits, flowers, vegetables, and perishable agricultural products of Seja Gram Sevak / Talati.
For Urban Area: - Identity Card / Example of Retailing of Fruits, Flowers, Vegetables, and Perishable Agricultural Products issued by Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission.
How To Apply Umbrella Shade Scheme Gujarat
To avail of the benefits of this scheme, the concerned have to apply online at https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in. On i-farmer portal Ta. Dated from 06/06/2021 Online application can be done till 15/07/2021.
- After applying online in the i-farmer portal, get the print of the application, sign/thumbprint along with the instrumental papers shown in the application which should be submitted to the Horticulture Office of that district within the stipulated time.
- Prior approval will be given from the district office within the target limit after checking the eligibility of the applicant based on the application received and the supporting documents.
- The selected applicant will be informed by the district office to get the umbrella within the stipulated time.
