In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, budgetary demands of Rs. 2.50 crore for the revenue expenditure of the Council of Ministers of the General Administration Department, Rs. 18 crore for the revenue under the election, Rs. 100 crore for the capital and Rs. 12 crores for the General Administration Department was passed. Responding to a discussion on the demands of the General Administration Department, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Bhai Patel said that an estimated more than 20,000 vacancies have been filled in the private sector along with various departments of the state government in the category-I to II.
In this recruitment, 4,6 posts have been filled in Home Department, 11,8 in Panchayat Rural Development, 5,000 in Education, 4,12 in Revenue Department, 1,3 in Health Department, 1,4 in Forest and Environment Department.
A total of 1500 trainees have been trained from 2012 to 2017. In addition, IAS has been trained to increase the efficiency and quality of the staff. The paperless method is being adopted by adopting HRMS Human Resource Management System from higher cadre to class 1-2. Under this scheme, more than 2000 employees have been covered.
